Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Representative with recent experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to support our accounting operations within a federal contracting environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes across multiple ongoing contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
Manage day-to-day email correspondence for accounting operations
Process invoices, payments, and vendor bills in QuickBooks Online
Monitor contract billing schedules and ensure timely invoicing
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
Track outstanding receivables and follow up on collections
Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with federal contracting standards
Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting
Support audits and documentation requirements related to government contracts
Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and clients regarding financial transactions

Required Skills & Experience
Recent hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (within the last year required)
2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or similar role
Strong understanding of AR/AP processes
Experience working in or supporting federal contracting environments preferred
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with government invoicing requirements (e.g., progress billing, contract-based billing)
Knowledge of compliance standards related to federal contracts
