Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Virtualization and Storage Engineer based in Dahlgren, Virginia. This candidate must hold an active Top Secret Clearance, IAT Level II certification, and Sec+, along with a high school diploma. This role requires 3-5 years' experience managing the full lifecycle of enterprise infrastructure solutions, including design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of VMWare environments, vSphere, and enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp and Vast. This engineer will also administer and enhance Rubrik enterprise backup and disaster recovery systems, ensuring robust data protection. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring and logging, as well as scripting for automation. Strong technical writing skills are essential for creating system specifications, design requirements, technical reports, and test evaluation planning documents, along with maintaining detailed documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role involves supporting department-wide IT transition initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with Corporate Services, and enforcing security requirements outlined in the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) package. A deep understanding of SAN fundamentals, including LUN provisioning, snapshots, zoning, and virtual machine management, is critical. Knowledge of DoD security accreditation standards, including STIGs and SCAP, is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional collaboration, communication, customer service, and analytical skills, working closely with the Help Desk and other stakeholders to resolve infrastructure issues efficiently. The salary range for this role ranges from $115,000-$130,000, based on experience.
