Job Description

County of Chesterfield is looking for a Deployment Technician. This role will be responsible for responding to user inquiries and providing technical assistance for hardware and software issues on endpoint devices. Install, configure, and maintain endpoint hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripheral equipment such as printers and scanners. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Collaborate with other IST staff to ensure that technology services are delivered effectively and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of all support activities using a ticketing systems, as well as endpoint security compliance, including antivirus, anti-malware, and appropriate end-user education. The pay range for this role is $20-$28/hr based on years of experience.

Duties:
Respond to user inquiries and provide technical assistance for hardware and software issues on endpoint devices.
Install, configure, and maintain endpoint hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripheral equipment such as printers and scanners.
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Collaborate with other IST staff to ensure that technology services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of all support activities using a ticketing system.
Maintain endpoint security compliance, including antivirus, anti-malware, and appropriate end-user education.
Perform endpoint asset management, including inventory, procurement, and refresh.

Required Skills & Experience

High School Diploma
Two years of endpoint support of Microsoft Windows
Windows 10/11 operating system and Microsoft Office 365 applications
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with end-users at all levels.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), macOS, iOS devices, and basic networking concepts is preferred.
Valid drivers license
