Job Description

Join our team as a Level II Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Inspector, where you'll play a key role in ensuring inspections meet both customer expectations and industry standards. This person is going to be the SME when it comes to UT Shear Wave testing and will perform other testing as needed. You'll be responsible for setting up and calibrating equipment, interpreting results, mentoring trainees, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your analytical skills and attention to detail will directly contribute to Oceaneerings success. Travel and overtime are required.

Key Responsibilities
-Equipment Setup & Calibration: Prepare and calibrate NDT equipment for inspections.
-Result Interpretation: Analyze and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Inspection Methods: Perform inspections using:
Visual Testing (VT)
Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
Ultrasonic Shear Wave Testing (UT)
-Reporting & Documentation: Accurately document findings using company QA forms.
-Equipment Management: Maintain the condition and custody of inspection tools.
-Training & Mentorship: Support the development of NDT trainees and maintain personal certifications.

Required Skills & Experience

-Education: High school diploma or GED required.
-Experience: Documented military or industrial NDT training and experience meeting Level II standards.
-Certifications: Must be certified in VT, MT, PT, and UT Shear Wave. Additional certifications (RT, ET) and NBPL certification are a plus.
-Technical Knowledge: Experience with submarine or surface combat ships preferred.
-Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
-Must have a secret clearance
