Job Description
The Condition Monitoring Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive Condition Monitoring Surveys on vessels worldwide, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, reciprocating engine diagnostics, and oil analysis programs. These vessels include support ships such as medical ships and refuelers. This person will have to travel to naval vessels around the world to perform the surveying. When not on the naval vessels they will be analyzing the data that was collected to see if the propulsion systems need maintenance. This role involves the installation of monitoring systems, as well as the analysis of data collected by both contractors and ship personnel. The specialist will develop detailed reports based on survey findings and provide training on the use of Condition Monitoring tools and software. Additional responsibilities include creating and updating training materials and user guides, responding to technical support inquiries, and ensuring strict adherence to all safety and quality policies.

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience as a machinist or electrician in the navy or on Naval ships (machinist mate, electrician, nuclear machinist mate, electronic technician)
• Has experience with running vibration analysis for preventive maintenance data
• Must have an active DOD Security Clearance
• Working knowledge of computers/computer networks and Microsoft operating systems
• Ability to perform work onboard ships
• Ability to travel local, domestic, and internationally up to 35% of the time
• Generally, for 1-week durations (depending on location)
