General Scope: Ability to operate and setup all types of CNC, NC, and conventional machines.(NIGHT SHIFT)
Position Summary:
Load tools in machine that have been pre-set in tool room.
Load program in machine control.
Take test cut and measure before finish machining.
Adjust machine settings, according to blueprints, if necessary.
Check and change tooling.
Adjust speeds and feeds as needed.
Must be able to run conventional machines as well with proficiency.
Must have the ability to make and edit programs without programmer assistance.
Perform minor machine maintenance such as oil, filter and coolant levels, removal of chips from machine.

Education: Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge: Incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
Knowledge of the Metric System/ Standard System.
Skills: Incumbent must demonstrate or participate in internal/external training programs to obtain the following skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to operate and read precise measuring instruments associated with the job.
Must be able to operate material handling equipment associated with the job.
