Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Investment Practitioner Advisory Lead to translate research and foresight insights into credible, practitioner-facing guidance, tools, and workflows that reflect how investment decisions are actually made across real-world settings (e.g., asset owners, investment committees, portfolio managers, analysts, and risk teams). This role exists to bridge the gap between abstract, technical, or empirical insight and observable changes in practitioner behavior. The value of this role is not content volume or polish, but adoption realism — ensuring that FTI outputs land in practice, withstand practitioner skepticism, and can plausibly influence real investment decision-making before formal standards or curriculum changes are considered.
The role owns the development and maintenance of investment practitioner segment personas, convenes practitioners and industry experts to co-create emerging best practices, and builds workflow-level tools that support real-world decision-making in foresight-led domains (initially AI; private markets as a fast follower). It also serves as a two-way conduit, feeding practitioner insight back into research framing and prioritization.
Key Qualifiers:
Critical experience signals
o Ability to operate as a practitioner-centered translator who:
○ understands how investment decisions are actually made across different institutional settings
○ works comfortably with ambiguity while anchoring guidance in real-world feasibility
o Proven experience translating and pressure-testing:
○ research, technical, or foresight-led insights against real investment governance, incentives, and constraints
○ abstract or emerging ideas into practical guidance, tools, or workflows practitioners actually use
○ proposed or emerging best practices to identify and correct why well-reasoned ideas fail to be adopted in practice
o Experience developing and stewarding investment practitioner personas or market segments used to shape guidance, tools, and workflows, including:
○ designing and maintaining role-specific personas across different investment functions (e.g., portfolio managers, analysts, CIOs, trustees, risk teams)
○ translating persona insights into practical guidance or tools aligned to real decision contexts
○ designing, deploying, or operationalizing practitioner personas in ways that materially changed workflows, decision processes, or training approaches
o Experience convening and working with practitioners and industry experts to:
○ co-create emerging best practices or operating frameworks
○ test and refine guidance ahead of formal codification or standards-setting
surface real-world feedback that informs upstream research framing and prioritization
