Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly experienced remote Drupal Tech Lead with 5+ years of web development experience and 3+ years of hands-on Drupal work to own the technical direction and execution of enterprise Drupal platforms. This role is hands-on across Drupal architecture and development, including custom modules, theming, integrations, upgrades, and performance optimization. The Tech Lead will also serve as a Scrum Master within an Agile delivery team, guiding sprint execution and team collaboration. The role partners closely with product, UX, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver Drupal solutions that are scalable, secure, accessible, and aligned with business priorities. The pay for this role ranges from $73-$75/hour, based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of professional web development experience, including 3+ years working with Drupal (Drupal 10/11 preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience architecting and implementing advanced Drupal solutions with the usage of custom development, theming, and system integrations.
• Experience integrating Drupal with external platforms and services such as REST/GraphQL APIs, SSO, DAMs, and CRMs
• Experience managing Drupal upgrades, patches, and module lifecycles
• Experience acting as a Scrum Master or a technical facilitator for Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning/execution/managing burndown charts, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Proficiency in PHP, Symfony, Twig, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Site Studio, and MySQL
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence for sprint execution, tracking, and reporting
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, perform code reviews, and support developer growth
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, source control (Git), and build tools such as Composer and Drush
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), containerization (Docker) and DevOps practices
Strong communication and experience collaborating/provide updates to stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Drupal or Acquia-related certifications
• Experience with decoupled Drupal or modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Behat, Cypress)
• Experience using performance monitoring or optimization tools (New Relic, Lighthouse)
• Familiarity with enterprise content governance, workflows, and approval models
Background working on large-scale or high-traffic digital platforms
