Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a remote Data Platform Engineer to support and scale a multi cloud data environment for a large enterprise organization. This engineer must have 3–5 years of experience focusing on Python driven automation, certificate management, data pipeline ownership, and operational support to ensure production data systems are reliable and secure. The ideal candidate must also have hands on experience with Snowflake, DBT and/or Airflow, and modern cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), along with an operational mindset that includes monitoring, incident response, and DevOps practices. This is not a traditional DBA role, but a platform focused data engineering position aligned to reliability, automation, and data operations. The pay rate for this position ranges from $52-$54/hour, based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

•3–5 years of experience in data engineering with strong Python development, certificate management, supporting data pipelines, automation, and operational workflows
•Experience working across data technologies including Snowflake, Azure SQL, Postgres, and MongoDB
•Hands on experience designing, building, and supporting data pipelines using DBT, Airflow, Python, and cloud based services
•Experience supporting and administering Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms in production environments
•Proven experience monitoring live data systems, troubleshooting failures, and resolving incidents to ensure reliability
•Experience implementing automation, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and applying DevOps best practices
•Experience enforcing OSTA, GDPR, and other data retention processes
•Experience supporting backup strategies, HA configurations, and data lifecycle controls to ensure system resilience
•Experience applying data privacy, retention, and governance requirements through system controls, automation, and engineering practices
•Experience partnering with data engineering and analytics teams to resolve data issues and inform platform design decisions
•Experience maintaining clear documentation related to data pipelines, platform architecture, operational procedures, and system metadata

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

•Experience with data quality checks, anomaly detection, or automated validations
•Security, or access control experience
•Experience using AI
•Familiarity with data governance, compliance, or retention practices
•Experience operating data platforms in complex or regulated environments
