Our client is seeking a payroll analyst to sit hybrid in Chantilly, VA. This individual will be responsible for:
-Responsible for the review, verification, and processing a multi-company biweekly payroll timely and accurately for multi-state employees
-Review new hire and termination entries in Workday/ADP (verify sign-on letter, commission structure timing of start/term date, retro pay etc.)
-Responds to all payroll-related inquiries including but not limited to payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments, employment verifications, and resolves employee issues.
-Maintain/update current federal and multi-state tax compliance for withholding as well as pre/post tax deductions and employer paid benefits in current payroll system
-Maintain an ongoing knowledge of regulation changes that affect payroll deductions and tax liabilities.
-Reconciliation of bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual taxes (federal, state & local), banking, GL entries and resolve differences with the accounting team.
-Create and maintain internal management reports and payroll SOPs for current payroll system.
-Analyze business process flows and recommend streamlining opportunities.
-Provide support for various projects within the Shared Services department and perform other duties as assigned.
Salary ranges from $65-70k

-Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or equivalent
-3+ years of payroll experience
-Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task
-Multi-State payroll experience
-Experience supporting a large scale environment (500 employees+)
-Prior federal experience
