The role of the Construction MEP Engineer requires strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, ability to self-direct, strong background in data center design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements and deep experience and expertise in electrical and mechanical systems. This role will provide leadership of all field related MEP mission critical activities and coordinate with data center PM and subcontractors for proper execution.
MEP Engineer will coordinate site conflicts and queries regarding design drawings and specs in the form of RFIs with design team to unblock project schedule. In managing the delivery of projects, this position aligns team objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts with the Data Center Development Project Strategy. In doing so this will result in effective client relationship management and efficiency in cost management and project/Project delivery .
Job Responsibilities:
Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other MEP devices.
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.
Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.
Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
10+ years experience required.
pay for this role is between 40-55/hr
