Job Description
The Senior Electrical Engineer will contribute to a fast-paced, hands-on prototyping environment, working across a broad range of systems and technologies. This role emphasizes system-level architecture, electronic circuit design, rapid prototyping, and internal research and development initiatives.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Lead the end-to-end design of low SWaP‑C electronic systems, including technology research, component selection, system architecture, circuit design, development, and optimization.
- Partner closely with mechanical, software, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver fully integrated and manufacturable solutions.
- Evaluate and approve electrical schematics and PCB layouts with a focus on design-for-excellence (DfX), signal integrity, environmental robustness, and EMI/EMC performance.
- Support hardware bring-up, debugging, testing, and validation efforts for prototype and developmental systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component qualification, PCB fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting strong PCB design practices and engineering rigor.
- Lead and participate in design reviews and technical peer reviews of schematics and layouts.
- Maintain detailed design documentation and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory and industry standards (IPC, UL, CE, RoHS).
- PCB designs are used in: Wearable GPS/PNT devices (chest, wrist, hand) for military use, Vehicle-mounted systems Subterranean and underwater applications (including submarines)

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience designing complex, low SWaP electrical systems, including power regulation, processors, sensors, and wired or wireless communications.
• Strong proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools operating within the Altium design environment.
• Solid understanding of hardware communication protocols such as UART, RS232/422/485, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, USB, MIPI, and LVDS.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug hardware using standard laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector measurement tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
Strong interest in mentorship and team development.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with signal processing, FPGA development, or low-power RF design.
• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing workflows, including PCB fabrication, SMT assembly, and automated test strategies.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional engineering teams.
