Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Palantir Foundry Data Analyst SME to support a key DoD program. The Palantir Foundry Data Analyst SME will be responsible for turning mission critical data into governed pipelines, business aligned ontologies, and decision ready applications—while serving as the technical authority on Foundry for the program. The ideal candidate will serve as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team – a highly productive team of technical professionals who thrive on supporting the customer's mission and growth objectives through Agile software development. You will work in close collaboration with team members, other product teams, shared services teams such as cybersecurity, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline. Experience can be considered in lieu of education.
• Subject Matter Expert with Palantir Foundry.
• At least 16 years of total professional experience.
• Expert skills and experience with Army Vantage data analytics platform.
• Extensive experience with Palantir Foundry Ontology.
• Identifying and creating branch fix recommendations for datasets outside the organization by following and evaluating the data provenance through the data lineage application.
• Experience with Foundry applications Contour, Workshop, Slate, code repository.
• Subject matter expertise designing and executing complex ETL and ELT.
• Expertise in database storage, SQL queries, and primary/foreign keys.
• Given a requirement to build a custom dataset - know how to locate and extract all relevant data from Vantage, transform data, build derived data elements, build new custom dataset.
• Build complex information exchanges (Data Exchanges) with external Power Apps applications.
• Experience with Snapshot, Changelog, and Code Repository IDE.
• Development experience with Python, PySpark, Java, SQL, TypeScript.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with DoW (DoD) ADVANA.
• Experience with Palantir MAVEN.
• Experience developing in Army 365 (A365).
• Understanding and experience with Army data systems and what they represent operationally, such as personnel data, readiness reporting, PERSTAT structures, G-staff data flows.
• Demonstrated experience moving data through Army or DoW organizational structures.
• Azure Data/AI stack familiarity (Azure Databricks, Synapse, or Data Factory).
• Experience developing and maintaining applications using Microsoft Power Platform suite (Model-driven and Canvas App, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pages/Portals, Portal Management MDA, Power Apps Pipeline) in an Azure environment.
• Experience developing with Databricks.
• Experience with designing and implementing data models in Microsoft 365.
