Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an MBI Databricks SQL Developer to support a federal customer. The Databricks SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Databricks SQL databases and database objects, as well as supporting application development within the Databricks environment.

Required Skills & Experience

o Design, develop, and maintain Databricks SQL databases and database objects such as tables, views, and indexes.
o Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development within the Databricks environment.
o Perform data analysis to capture data requirements and build transformation rules for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes within Databricks.
o Write and execute data test scripts to ensure data integrity and performance.
o Collaborate with data modelers, application developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design solutions.
o Debug and resolve database issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability within Databricks.
o Document design requirements and maintain version control of database objects and scripts.
o Participate in team scrums, discussing progress and addressing any issues.
o Implement changes in development environments and perform unit tests before integrating changes into Pre-Prod/Production environments.
