Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer to support a government customer in Alexandria, VA. This individual will be responsible for testing and validating Counter-Unmanned Systems (C-UxS), with a focus on Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS), to ensure system reliability, functionality, and interoperability in mission-critical environments.
The Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans, analyze system performance, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues. This role plays a key part in ensuring all systems meet operational requirements and performance standards across complex defense technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and document test plans for C-UxS/C-UAS systems
Conduct system validation to ensure reliability, functionality, and interoperability
Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system defects and performance issues
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure mission readiness and compliance with requirements.
$40-$65/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• BA/BS with 4+ years; AA/AS with 8+ years; or HS/GED with 10+ years
• Strong understanding of UxS/C-UxS capabilities, including sensors, detection systems, and mitigation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of test methodologies and processes
• Proficiency with test management tools (Jira, TestRail)
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with test measurement and diagnostic equipment
• Experience briefing senior level military and civilian leaders
• Knowledge of base layered defense and BDOC operations
• Familiarity with cybersecurity vulnerabilities
