Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Cyber Mission Specialist in Alexandria, VA, to support senior DoD leadership in strengthening cybersecurity maturity across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). This individual will play a critical role in guiding both DIB partners and senior DoD leadership on cybersecurity requirements, assessing compliance, and shaping strategic initiatives that protect national security interests. This individual will work across functional areas, engage with high-level DoD stakeholders, and ensure the timely delivery of high-impact deliverables. Success in this role requires strong writing skills, familiarity with NIST 800-53 and DoDI 8500 series, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
$59.90/hr to $64.90/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- 10+ years of professional experience (federal) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity or a related field (Degree can be substituted with an active CISSP or CISM certification)
- At least 8 years of experience shaping/developing cyber policies
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST 800-53
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on metrics tied to security controls
- Experience drafting correspondence/memos or presentations for high-level leadership
- Experience briefing clients and/or executive leadership on cyber-related issues
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Previous Action Office Support/Action Officer experience (especially with creating white papers, drafting formal executive-level correspondence to support decision making, etc.)
- Previous Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) experience
