Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Quality Engineering Manager to leads and oversee quality engineering resources to support the design, development, manufacturing, and lifecycle sustainment of complex products. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes across all phases of the product lifecycle.
This position provides both technical leadership and people management, while partnering cross-functionally to ensure product quality, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Quality Engineers and supporting quality personnel
- Allocate resources across programs and initiatives based on risk, complexity, and business needs
- Ensure effective communication and escalation of quality risks to senior leadership and program stakeholders
- Drive quality engineering involvement throughout design and development activities in alignment with AS9100 and internal procedures
- Support design reviews, risk assessments, configuration management, and change control processes
- Oversee qualification activities, including First Article Inspection (FAI) and transition from development to production
- Support production readiness reviews, process capability analysis, control plans, and manufacturing risk assessments
- Provide oversight on nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Salary: $88,000 - $144,000

Required Skills & Experience
Ability to obtain a secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
5+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field within aerospace or defense environments
Strong understanding and hands-on application of AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience implementing and utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Proven ability to lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives
Experience with nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Prior experience managing or leading a team of Quality Engineers
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Active clearance
Experience supporting design and development phases, including design reviews and product qualification
Knowledge of configuration management and change control processes
