• Support data governance initiatives to ensure effective use of governance tools
• Develop and deliver training on tool usage, configuration, and best practices
• Monitor and report on tool adoption metrics and ROI, and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain tool performance, including configuration, updates, security, and role management
• Lead user support efforts across key use cases (e.g., lineage, data quality, profiling, impact analysis)
• Partner with Data Governance Analysts to align tools with business needs and use cases
• Promote data privacy, protection, and compliance through effective tool utilization
Day to Day:
One of Insight Global’s clients is seeking a Senior Data Governance System Administrator to join their team. This individual will play a key role in supporting and advancing the organization’s data governance vision by implementing initiatives aligned with established policies and procedures. They will partner closely with data governance stakeholders to drive adoption of governance tools, providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to ensure alignment with defined processes and best practices. This role is also responsible for maintaining the overall health and performance of data governance tools, including security, configuration, and system optimization, while promoting strong user engagement and data literacy across the organization. In addition, this individual will lead efforts to expand tool capabilities through integrations and the onboarding of new data assets. They will play a critical role in shaping how governance tools are leveraged to support enterprise initiatives and core data governance pillars. Ultimately, the Senior Data Governance System Administrator will ensure these tools are used effectively to maximize value, improve adoption, and drive increased return on investment year over year, while contributing insights to continuously strengthen the broader data governance program.
This role ranges from $40-$45 per hour based on relevant experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• 13 years combined education and experience (max 6 years education)
• Minimum 4 years in data management (e.g., BI, data warehousing, data governance, MDM, data quality, etc.); tool administration preferred
• Additional relevant experience may include IT, business analysis, leadership, technical writing, training, or data-driven roles
• Experience with data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Azure Purview, etc.)
• Experience with data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, Exadata)
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar tools
• Proficiency in SQL; scripting or programming experience preferred
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Immera Scan or Big ID
• Scripting Experience
• General Data Governance Experience
• Master's Degree in related field.
