JOB DESCRIPTION:
Insight Global's energy manufacturing client is looking for a Senior CNC Machinist to join their team in Webster, TX.
Under general supervision, the CNC Machinist/ Programmer III is responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to fabricate parts, assemble components, and ensure high-quality production output in a safe and timely manner. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in programming machines, utilizing CAM programming, running CNC machines and utilizing precision tools to meet Engineering and production requirements efficiently. This person will also maintain and utilize commercial production equipment Mills, lathes, and other power and hand tools in the fabrication of the client's production parts, components and fixtures.
Responsibilities:
This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines—including mills, lathes, and manual equipment—using G/M codes and CAM software such as SolidWorks CAM, Fusion, MasterCAM, or CAMWorks. Responsibilities include reviewing programs, selecting tooling, inspecting parts to tolerances as tight as .0005", and performing minor program edits to optimize efficiency. The position requires proficiency in precision measurement tools, CMM inspection, and adherence to safety practices, including PPE and equipment maintenance. Additional duties include mentoring machinists, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and developing maintenance plans for automated machinery and related equipment.

Required Skills & Experience
MUST HAVES:
- High school diploma or greater
- 5-7+ years of CNC programing/machine operation experience
- Proficiency in CAD SolidWorks
- experience using 3, 4 and 5 Axis CNC milling
- Skilled using manual mills, lathes, table saw, drill presses, and other power and hand tools
- Skilled in Precision Machining
- Skilled in Precision Measurement and Quality Inspection
- Ability to read Part Drawing/Blueprints/Diagrams
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and tools
- Skilled in engineering support (prototyping and debugging)
Knowledgeable of reporting test result (charts, tables and graph)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PLUSSES:
