Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for one of our large manufacturing clients in Waller, Tx. This person will manage a balance of 50% production tickets and user support, resolving network issues and ensuring smooth operation, and dedicate the other 50% to exploring innovative solutions and optimizing network performance through proactive testing, possess strong expertise with Cisco networking equipment and configurations, and effectively handle network support tickets, including firewall changes and troubleshooting. This person will be responsible for network equipment refreshes and migrations and utilize Cisco DNA Center to manage and monitor the network environment. Must be local and willing to report onsite 2-3 days/week and participate in an on-call rotation with team members. The pay range for this role is dependent upon experience and would be between $55-65/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

-CCNP certification required
-5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong background in enterprise network design, implementation, and support.
-Proficient in using Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) for network automation, assurance, and monitoring.
-Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for -policy-based access control and network segmentation.
-Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Cisco hardware.
-Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions and hybrid network environments (e.g., AWS, Azure networking components).
-Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities for resolving complex network issues.
-Excellent communication skills for working cross-functionally with IT teams, vendors, and end-users.
-Experience managing and resolving network-related support tickets, including firewall rule changes, connectivity issues, and performance tuning.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Knowledge of Cisco Nexus platforms and Spine-Leaf architecture in data center environments.
-Exposure to networking in industrial or manufacturing environments, including ruggedized equipment and protocols like Modbus or PROFINET.
