Job Description
An O&G Operator in The Woodlands, TX is looking for a Network Engineer to join their Automation team. This role is responsible for advising and supporting GOA automation networks. They will conduct annual site visits to perform health checks on the automation networks, implement automation network standards, perform system updates and optimization of all offshore control networks, and avise on future upgrades and manage project installations.
Responsibilities include:
• Requires offshore travel to deepwater facilities
• Requires travel to attend meetings and FAT’s throughout the gulf coast
• Install, program, maintain or troubleshoot automation network and security system
• Knowledgeable in PLC programming, HMI development and industrial network structure
• Testing and checking the system for weakness in software and hardware
• Maintain firewalls, VPN’s, servers and switches
• Configure and install security infrastructure devices
• Ability to communicate and report network security issues to upper management

Required Skills & Experience
*5+ YOE of IT/OT Systems experience within O&G
*Knowledge of O&G systems
*Knowledge of automation, industrial networks, and controls
