Job Description

A client in Spring, TX is looking for a Sr. Linux Administrator Lead. This person will be greatly assisting with leadership and technical expertise across a hybrid IT environment supporting both commercial and government maritime operations. The ideal person for this role brings a deep
understanding of secure, standardized infrastructure environments and has hands-on
experience with Windows Server, NetApp, Linux, VMware, and Hyper-V. This position is looking to pay between $50-60/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator

Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and virtual infrastructure management

Experience with NetApp storage systems (SAN/NAS, replication, and snapshots)

Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (preferred but not required)

Strong knowledge of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls)

Compliance Knowledge: Demonstrated exposure to NIST 800-53, STIG, and CMMC
compliance requirements in mixed commercial/government IT environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in a Citrix environment

Familiarity with Azure or other cloud environments is a plus

Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Azure Administrator / Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE), CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent
