Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Failure Analysis Engineer to work onsite at their client's facility in Bangalore, India. This person will be working in the reliability lab, performing a variety of tests on PC systems and components to analyze the durability and points of failure in a variety of environments. Mechanical related tests include pressure testing (TekScan & Instron), drop testing, strain gauge, accelerometer testing, thermal testing, among others. They will be responsible for evaluating mechanical parts, components fitting into PC/computer/electronic equipment. Assisting in the design of tools and fixtures, if necessary, to the enable the handling and assemble/disassembly of PC components and sub-assemblies. Coordinate with cross regional teams to identify and record the difficulties faced. Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate to complex difficultly under general supervision. Utilize and incorporate general mechanical design principles, including design for manufacturing (DFM) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Responsible for evaluation of mechanical parts, components fitting into PC/computer/electronic equipment.
This position is working in a lab environment in Bangalore, India and the typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm IST.
Compensation: 1,300,000 - 2,000,000 INR

Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of experience working in an electronics related field
Experience with lab tools (pressure test equipment, robotic equipment, thermal test chambers, etc.)
PC experience (strong understanding of PC architecture and components) CAD skills (2D & 3D) and surface modelling, as well as all related mathematical functions
Working experience on any of the CAD tools like AutoCAD/Inventor/Pro-E/Creo Capability for design of tool and fixtures, if any, to enable the handling, assembly/disassembly of components and sub-assemblies
Knowledge in mechanical engineering layouts or schematics according to customer and manufacturing design requirements and specifications
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering degree with a Mechanical Engineering related specialization
Good communication (both written and verbal)

Experience doing mechanical failure analysis on PC devices
