Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support hardware testing, imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting activities within a fast-paced lab environment. This role will be responsible for configuring systems, executing test plans, investigating failures, maintaining lab documentation, and supporting hardware and software validation efforts across Windows-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform PC hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on desktops, laptops, and related equipment.
• Execute and automate testing activities using PowerShell scripting for system configuration, log collection, deployment, and test execution.
• Support BIOS updates, firmware validation, and troubleshooting efforts across various hardware platforms.
• Build, image, deploy, and maintain test systems using industry-standard imaging and deployment tools.
• Conduct failure analysis, reproduce reported issues, and document findings for engineering teams.
• Assist with system setup, configuration, and maintenance within a lab environment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), architectural diagrams, whitepapers, and instructional guides.
• Support Windows operating system testing, validation, and feature-level troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure accurate execution of test plans and validation processes.

Required Skills & Experience

· PowerShell scripting for automation, log collection, system configuration, and test execution.
· PC Hardware troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
· PC System BIOS updates, troubleshooting
· WinPE, imaging, and deployment experience.
    Working knowledge, but at a minimum, an understanding of the image and deployment tools below:
o WDT (Windows Download Tools)
o ImageX/DISM
o Ghost
o CloneZilla
o SCCM
· Basic networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, PXE, TCP/IP).
· Experience with test execution, failure analysis, and issue reproduction.
· Strong documentation and communication skills
o Technical engineering docs

§ Instructional
· Windows feature/working knowledge
