Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a UX Designer to work onsite at our client's facility in Porto Alegre, Brazil. This person will work with product management, SW development, and business stakeholders to provide design and user experience direction and leadership. This role requires a strong interest in new technology and a passion for providing the best customer experience possible. The ideal candidate must be familiar with Agile software development and be comfortable creating clear and well-formed use cases for development teams.
You must be able to work independently, communicate status and manage risks.
Key Responsibilities
• Create early-stage concepts/sketches/user flows to quickly test hypotheses and de-risk assumptions
• Capable of interpreting a low fidelity mockup and transform it into a refined visual design interface
• Work with the designers and developers to make sure both areas understand HOW a solution will be developed
• Work with developers to review the execution of the implementation
• Design accessible interfaces that meet WCAG standards
• Understand current design solutions and propose improvements based on new technologies and user feedback
• Contributing to our team and culture through collaboration, proposing improvements, and sharing feedback
• Leverage research findings and incorporate design workshop outcomes into design proposals
• Propose and negotiate improvements to the user experience with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders
• Create design specifications through user flows, wireframes, and visual mockups
• Propose and negotiate improvements to the user experience with product manager, developers, and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with other product designers, visual designers, and engineers
• Creating clear and well-formed use cases for development teams
• Must be capable of understanding and using a UI framework and contribute to its improvement
• Document UX/UI behaviors
• Hand-off UI mockups to front-end developers and review front-end implementation

Compensation: $20-25/hr USD.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5+ years SW UX design experience

BS degree (or equivalent experience) in Design or Technology related field

Comfortable starting with ambiguous goals, ideas, or requirements and iterating to create clarity and alignment

A knack for storytelling through illustrating user flows, journeys and experiences

Able to understand complex product requirements and convert them to easy-to-use software solutions

The ability to recognize when to pivot and try a different design approach

Advanced visual design and information architecture skills

Advanced Figma skills and up to date with the latest features and capabilities (Variants, Variables, Auto-layout, Prototyping, Conditionals, Component Creation)
Familiarity with Miro and other rapid sketch/whiteboard tools

Some experience with user research

Experienced working with design systems

Advanced skills with user-centric design methods

Expert level in Figma and strong time management skills

Excellent negotiating, organization, and time management skills

Experience reviewing and supporting design choices to upper management

Prototyping experience is a must

Experience creating web optimized graphics

Experience creating responsive interfaces

Well-versed in agile methodologies and software development processes

Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive, willing to take ownership and to manage ambiguity

Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Experience in Computer & Software Technology design preferred

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Figma Make tool (either as a hobby or professional experience)
