Job Description

A chemical manufacturing company is seeking an I&E Instrumentation Specialist to join their Manufacturing Technology organization in the Woodlands, TX. This person will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation systems including PLCs, sensors, and controllers, calibrating and testing field instruments to ensure accuracy/reliability, develop and write maintenance standards, and implement diagnostic tools to scan instrumentation for versioning issues, firmware updates, or upgrades. This person will collaborate closely with engineering teams to design/modify control systems, document maintenance activities/system changes, and stay current with industry best practices in instrumentation & control systems. This person should have hands on IT/OT expertise, maintenance and compliance knowledge, strong documentation skills, and fieldwork experience. This role is 4 days/week onsite in the Woodlands, TX area in an office setting.









This role is paying between 60 - 64/hr. depending on education and experience.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years in Instrumentation Specialist/Engineer related roles



Heavy experience maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation systems including PLCs, sensors, controllers, etc.



Ability to calibrate and test field instrumentation and control systems including set up of new systems, ensuring plant requirements are met, and designing/testing control systems



Strong expertise in IT/OT systems (how OT systems function and integrate with IT infrastructure)



Experience working in the field with troubleshooting, calibration, or system installation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Chemical manufacturing industry experience
