Job Description
Insight Global is looking for Business Planning Analyst to work partially onsite (Tuesday-Thursday) at one of their premier client's facility in North Houston (Spring, Texas) and partially remote. upon completion of training, this person will be responsible for assisting with the budget planning process for multiple R&D and Quality departments, combing through spreadsheets, data, sorting through transactions, etc. to help clean up the unstructured data and compile that data to create an understanding of budget throughout the organization. They will also track and manage spend by various categories and ensuring spend is in line with forecasted budget. Additionally, this person will generate quarterly reports, open and manage purchase orders. This role also requires someone to have strong team work skills, and ability/willingness to collaborate with finance and other data analysts in the organization for rolling up the monthly/quarterly spend for close. Once acclimated to the role, this person will be able to be assigned a task and complete it end to end without supervision.
This position will be required to be onsite in Spring, Texas on Tuesdays-Thursdays, but will be available for remote work the rest of the week. Typical schedules is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm CST (excluding holidays).
Compensation Range: $28.00-33.00/hr

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience with accounting principles, processes (GAAP), monthly/quarterly closing items, variance analysis, accruals, etc.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.) and PowerPoint
Have a passion for data/numbers
Must have a strong attention to detail and be highly organized
Be able to research, comprehend, and analyze data in order to make decisions based on that data
Ability to take ownership of a task/process and run with it end to end. Be proactive in their approach and have good follow up skills.
Good written and verbal communication and be able to present data to stakeholders (good business acumen)
Team player - willingness to help others
Strong communication (written & verbal) and the ability to build business relationships with stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience using Tableau and/or Power BI
Strong experience with managing large data sets from multiple sources (exp. with Power Query)
