Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a full-time ICC Certified Building Inspector to join the Building & Safety group of a large engineering consulting services company in Santa Fe, Texas. This individual will support local cities within this region on inspections of commercial and industrial properties to ensure building plans, specifications, and drawings comply with Texas building codes and regulations. This role will require extensive interactions with general contractors, city employees, engineers, and other public agencies. We are looking for an individual with a solutions-oriented mindset who can effectively establish and maintain effective working relationships with these individuals. The ability to work independently to perform all building structural, plumbing, electrical, sewerage, and heating system inspections for safety and specification compliance without assistance is crucial for this role. As a Building Inspector, you will be required to go on-site for inspections but can work from home if in-person work is not needed at a given time.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of Municipal Building Inspection experience
- ICC Commercial and/or Residential Building Inspector
- Strong knowledge of California Building Codes and Regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Licensed Plumbing Inspector in the State of Texas
- ICC Plans Examiner Certification
