Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a senior Cybersecurity Operations Center analyst to sit on-site in the San Antonio, TX area. This candidate will provide expert-level detection, alert triage, and response leadership. Form and direct threat‑hunting teams to investigate cybersecurity events or support incident response activities. Assist in training and mentoring junior and mid-level SOC analysts. Ensure SOC playbooks, incident response plans, and other standard operating procedures are drafted, implemented, maintained/ updated, and trained on by the SOC staff. Assist security leadership with developing and reporting SOC metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, IT, or related field, required; Master’s in the same fields, preferred
- 6–10+ years SOC or incident response experience.
- 4 years of experience in IT audit, network operations, and enterprise cyber risk management.
- Cloud security expertise to include in-depth knowledge of monitoring and securing cloud environments, specifically Azure, and an understanding of threats specific to cloud environments.
- Proficiency in managing and configuring tools like Cisco security suite (Cisco Secure Endpoint, Cisco Secure Email, Web Security Appliance, etc.)
- Proficiency in operationalizing cyber threat intelligence.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (such as International
- Organization for Standardization [ISO] 27000, COBIT, National Institute of Standards and Technology [NIST] 800, CJIS, HIPAA, PCI)
- Mentorship and Leadership: Train junior analysts and refine incident response procedures.
- Communication: Translate complex technical findings into actionable intelligence for executive stakeholders, both written and verbal communication.
- Problem-Solving under Pressure: Maintain composure to manage critical, high-impact security incidents.
