Role Overview
We are seeking an individual with strong CAD/Visio design skills and a solid background in field installation and low-voltage systems. This position bridges desktop-based design/documentation work with occasional on-site validation and light installation at secure U.S. facilities.
Primary Responsibilities
• Create and maintain CAD drawings and Visio network diagrams, including:
○ As-builts and rack elevations
○ Floor plans, pathways, and riser diagrams
○ Documentation and site surveys
• Support design deliverables for telecom rooms, cabling layouts, and infrastructure planning.
• Perform light field work for validation and early-stage installation tasks.

Required Skills & Experience
Required Skills
• Recent, strong experience in CAD drafting and Visio design (primary focus).
○ Ideally 10+ years pulling cable and transitioning more into design.
• Ability to produce accurate as-builts, rack elevations, and network diagrams.
• Familiarity with documentation standards and site survey processes.
• Must be willing to travel within CONUS for short-term assignments.
○ Potential travel to Pennsylvania for short-term assignment
Secondary Skills (Still Heavily Weighted)
• Hands-on background as a Field Technician/Installer/Supervisor, including:
○ Copper cabling (CAT6/CAT6A)
○ Fiber optic termination, patching, and tracing
○ Telecom room setup (racks, cable management, pathways)
○ CCTV and general low-voltage troubleshooting
• BICSI certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
Ideal candidate transitioned in the last 2–3 years from field work to design/documentation roles.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Additional Requirements
• Comfortable working in secure facilities under escort protocols.
• Prior experience with CAC (Common Access Card) or similar access systems is a plus.
• BICSI Certification
