Job Description

Insight Global is looking for two IT Support Technicians focusing on a remote rollout to support a client in San Antonio, TX. This is a fully remote role but ideally would like to be able to work in central time zone. This is for a payment device replacement project. The client is currently putting in a new payment device in all locations -- and these resources will be helping with remoting in to resolve any issues. Remote troubleshooting is a must to succeed in this role. Some examples will be to copy files to certain locations, run batch files, and must have a good understanding of the basic structures of Windows folders. Must be able to communicate at a high level, must be able to talk to the technicians and the unit to help feel at ease with the replacement. This person will essentially bridge the gap, set up the register, and have the correct files so it can talk to the device, then do the testing working with the manager on duty to make sure things are running smoothly.

Client has a company that goes on site and does the physical installers of the hardware, and this person will be communicating with that POC to help with the rollout.

Required Skills & Experience

* 1-2 professional years' experience as an IT Support Specialist specifically remoting in and troubleshooting.

* Experience working in a Windows 10 or 11 environment, Windows File Explorer experience, and a basic understanding of IP Networking.

* Payment device experience -- freedom pay configuration experience would be ideal.

* Experience setting a static IP Address on a Window's machine.

* Great customer service and over the phone customer service

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* POS/Retail experience (Point of Sales)

* Specifically, Iris POS experience
