An employer is seeking a OT Network Engineer for a 12+ month contract possible extensions opportunity. This individual will be a dedicated resource for a large automotive client. This individual will be exposed to new, cutting edge technology within the automotive industry. Network Engineer will be responsible for network infrastructure discovery, design, implementation, and handoff to operations for network build projects. Also responsible for working and communicating with project managers on project status and timelines. You will be working in a OT/ Manufacturing environment primary focused on designing and deploying network solutions -- not an operational position.
Additional functions:
Design, deploy, and manage Cisco-based enterprise network infrastructures, ensuring robustness, scalability, and integration with existing systems.
Develop and implement policies for the use of network resources.
Design and oversee the implementation of network security solutions using Cisco ISE, ensuring comprehensive access control and security compliance across all systems and software.
Lead projects on Software Defined Access (SDA) to enhance network flexibility and manageability.
Conduct network modeling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network.
Provide high-level technical support for network issues; troubleshoot network problems and outages; schedule upgrades and collaborate with network architects on network optimization.
Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects.

Extensive network engineering experience (LAN/WAN) -- design, deploy and implementation (Cisco based)
Experience with Software Defined Access (SDA)
Manufacturing/ Operational Technical industry experience
Experience with industrial switching devices and their configuration for secure OT traffic flow required
Expertise in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and experience with network access control
CCNP and CCDP, CISSP, CCIE Written or CCIE, preferred
DNAC (DNA Center) experience -- design, deploy, and standup DNACs
Automotive industry experience
