Insight Global is looking for two IT Support Technicians focusing on a remote rollout to sit local to San Antonio, TX. Candidate will be a part of two phases of this project: first working with the restaurant managers for the reimagining of the registers, and second remoting in and working with the hardware vendor to finish out the installation of the sticky printers. Candidate must have experience with Windows File Explorer, basic IP Networking (knowledge of how to map to a gateway) and overall great customer service phone presence.
The Rollout Steward will be responsible for the following activities:
* Responsible for performing technical activities to implement, monitor, and complete a technology update for POS systems at multiple locations.
* Verbal communication with personnel at the locations to inform them of and coordinate technical activities during the scheduled time.
* Track the update progress of each assigned location, working with several locations at a time, to ensure proper completion.
* Perform miscellaneous technical activities as needed to aid the update process.
* Work remotely by phone as a software/configuration implementer, talking with a hardware tech on site to guide them through a series of steps and perform configuration tasks through remote access software to achieve the desired outcome.
* 2-3 professional years' experience as an IT Support Specialist specifically remoting in and troubleshooting.
* Experience working in a Windows 10 or 11 environment, Windows File Explorer experience, and a basic understanding of IP Networking.
* Experience setting a static IP Address on a Window's machine
* Great customer service and over the phone customer service
* POS/Retail experience (Point of Sales)
