Insight Global is seeking Manufacturing Planners to join one of our large aerospace clients in San Antonio, TX. This is a 100% on-site role where engineers will be working on a production floor environment and frequently boarding aircrafts. In this role you will collaborate with Liaison Engineering and Mechanic teams when any non-conformance arise. This person will be responsible for taking dispositions from Liaison Engineering and translating it into a build plan to line out step-by-step instructions for Mechanics to follow, while referencing engineering drawings and inspection points.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
Implement lean principles and technologies.

5+ years of experience translating requirements from Liaison engineering and putting them into a sequences plan/build plan in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Software experience: GoldEsp or any MES (manufacturing execution systems), ability to navigate any 3D software (CATIA, etc.)
Understand and navigate engineering drawings and BOM (bill or materials)
Aerospace experience
Previous experience compiling tools lists needed for projects
Experience annotating 3D graphics
Structures experience/ floor experience as a mechanic or quality role
Bachelors in Engineering
