An employer in the San Antonio, TX area is looking for an Electrical Estimator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects. This person will be responsible for the full takeoff of the estimating process. This person will be responsible for estimating on projects in the range of $10-$60 million.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates
· Coordinate with project management
Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency as well as data entry
· Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation
Preparation and submission of change orders
Follow-up at the end of projects to close any loops in the estimating process to include invoicing and cost tracking
· Minimum 3 years' of electrical estimating experience of commercial and/or industrial electrical construction.
· Proficient in Bluebeam
· Experience working with estimating software's such as Conest, McCormick, or Accubid
· Knowledge of specifications, sketches, blueprints, bills of material, and subcontractor quotations
Proven ability to work independently under remote supervision with project managers, project design teams and other estimators
· More than 5 years of experience in electrical estimating
· Experience in project management
