Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Administrator with at least 3 years of hands-on experience managing virtual desktop environments. While Citrix experience is acceptable, preference will be given to candidates with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing virtual desktop infrastructure in a secure, scalable Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, session hosts, and application groups.
Configure and manage user profiles, FSLogix, and ensure seamless end-user experience.
Implement security best practices for virtual desktop environments, including conditional access, MFA, and RBAC.
Monitor performance and availability using Azure Monitor and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Manage image creation and updates, including OS patching and application packaging.
Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure compliance and optimize connectivity.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for virtual desktop-related incidents and service requests.
Document processes, configurations, and maintain operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years as a Virtual Desktop Administrator (preferably Azure).
Strong experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure AD, and related services.
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration.
Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for policy and application deployment.
Understanding of networking concepts (VPN, VNETs, NSGs) and Azure security controls.
Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (nice to have).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V) – optional
