A Fortune 500 client is looking for an Oracle Developer supporting their site in Chennai, India. This client is leading company in the Aerospace and Defense, communications, enterprise healthcare, industrial, capital equipment and energy industries to deliver solutions for their most complex challenges in manufacturing hardware solutions.
As a Oracle Developer at an electronics manufacturing company, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications that support core business operations, including supply chain management, inventory tracking, and production workflows. Youll work extensively with Java and J2EE technologiessuch as JSP, Servlets, EJBand leverage Oracle ADF and JDeveloper to build robust, scalable solutions deployed on WebLogic Server. Your responsibilities will include integrating applications with Oracle relational databases, writing and optimizing complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, and collaborating with database administrators to ensure data integrity and performance.
Youll contribute to front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX to create responsive user interfaces tailored to manufacturing and logistics teams. As part of an Agile development team, youll participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, working closely with product owners and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-impact features. Youll follow best practices in version control and DevOps using GitLab, SVN, and modern IDEs, and support continuous integration and deployment pipelines. In addition to your development work, you may assist in configuring and administering web and application servers such as IIS, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, WebSphere, and Tomcat. Your strong software design skills and analytical mindset will be essential in solving complex technical challenges and optimizing system performance. Youll also be expected to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, present solutions clearly, and contribute to a collaborative, detail-oriented, and professional team environment that values innovation and precision in manufacturing technology. This role will sit 100% remote during the contract duration.

5-7 years of software development experience or related
Extensive Java development experience (Java, J2EE, JSP, EJB, Servlets)
Must have experience with Oracle ADF, JDeveloper, and WebLogic Server
Experience with oracle relational databases (Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, design) is required
Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies
Basic knowledge in installing/configuring/administering other web servers (IIS, Apache, IBM http server) and application servers (IBM WebSphere, Tomcat) would be considered an asset
