Insight Global is looking for a Teradata Platform Engineer for a fortune 50 financial company- candidate will be required to work 3 days on site in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This organization owns the production support Teradata Platform, and this ideal candidate will be required to provide core services to various tenants. One service is architecture as a service which includes reviewing code, aligning the new features, creating standards and guidelines, creating strategy roadmap, and creating business roadmaps to modernize and optimize the platform. The second service is remediation assistance which includes helping to optimize processes to run faster and resolve any issues they are facing during production. This ideal candidate will have good Teradata knowledge and understand all its capabilities and features and be able to write reusable components. This person will work with the global team to build reusable components, as well as understanding code to optimize it and build it in python.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluating Teradata platform features and creating roadmaps.
Creates Teradata platform standards and integration patterns.
Performs Proof of Concept execution and socialization.
Creates foundational architecture for new capability. Coordinates pilot onboarding to new capability.
Support teams for key feature implementation, troubleshooting, and remediation of Teradata Users and Applications.
Experience in administrating Teradata databases, including upgrades, performance tuning, and managing backup solutions like DSA and Data Domain.
Experience in performance optimization, role-based access control setup, and managing database upgrades

5-7 years experience as a Teradata Engineer working with Teradata and its latest capabilities (Teradata V 17.20 or Higher)
Experience reviewing code, aligning the new features, creating standards and guidelines, creating strategy roadmap, and creating business roadmaps to modernize and optimize the Teradata platform
Experience with production support with a global team
Proficient in SQL and Teradata utilities such as TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPump
Proficient in utilities like NOS, QueryGrid and Clearscape Analytics
