About the Role
We are seeking a SQL Engineer to join our software development team in building high-quality SQL Server-based solutions. This role involves T-SQL development, SSIS integration, and performance tuning, using modern development tools and AI-assisted environments. Ideal candidates bring strong SQL fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and familiarity with DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and optimize stored procedures, functions, views, and ETL packages (SSIS).
· Collaborate with engineers, analysts, QA, and DevOps to understand business needs and deliver scalable data workflows.
· Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
· Use VS Code, SSMS, and Visual Studio for SQL development and debugging.
· Work within Git/GitLab for version control and participate in merge/pull request workflows.
· Contribute to CI/CD processes for SQL code promotion and deployment.
· Support performance tuning, incident resolution, and documentation efforts.
· Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate SQL script generation, documentation, and testing

· 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and stored procedures.
· Proficient with VS Code, SSMS, and Visual Studio.
· Familiarity with Git/GitLab, version control workflows, and Agile methodology.
· Exposure to CI/CD, automated testing, and AI-assisted development environments.
· Bachelor's degree required.
· Strong communication and analytical skills.
· Experience with cloud database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
· Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., tSQLt).
· Exposure to dimensional modeling or data warehousing design.
