Job Description
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior AI/Mainframe Modernization Architect to drive the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions within a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on architecting scalable, agent-based automation frameworks to modernize mainframe vulnerability remediation processes. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in AI architecture and enterprise integration—going beyond simply building agents to designing the frameworks, standards, and service layers that make AI solutions scalable and maintainable. This individual will play a key role in defining AI development lifecycle practices, establishing governance and architectural standards, and integrating AI capabilities with core infrastructure systems, including z/OS environments. The work sits at the intersection of applied AI engineering and enterprise architecture, enabling long-term modernization and operational efficiency.
Day-to-Day:
Design and lead development of AI-enabled automation frameworks for mainframe vulnerability remediation
Architect agent-based orchestration workflows that scale across enterprise infrastructure
Define and implement AI integration patterns using API/service layers (vs direct system access)
Establish AI architecture standards, governance models, and best practices
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to prioritize and execute patching strategies
Guide teams on ADLC implementation, including testing, deployment, and lifecycle management
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and production-ready
Act as a technical advisor on AI architecture, integration strategy, and enterprise adoption
