Job Description

A client is looking for a PLC Programmer for a contract role based in Plano, TX. This employee will join a team of engineers and assist with the design of a new state of the art product going in stores. This programmer will be given the architecture/road map for the design and will complete some clean up on the drawing then will own the build process of the panel layout. They will be responsible for programming the PLC system and will own the debugging and testing. The scope of the design has already been drafted so now this employee just needs to come in and program and build. Ideally the client is looking for a mid-level candidate, however this team will take a senior individual as long as they fit within the price range. This is a 100% onsite position.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of programming and design within ladder logic from scratch (not looking for a maintenance tech)
• Specifically looking for skills within AutomationDirect
• Programing then debugging of motion, recovery, and fault sequences for a 3 axis stepper based motion system
- Experience integrating and programming stepper motors, gantry systems, sensors or conveyors
- General electrical experience:
o Ability to build/wire and troubleshoot panels & devices (120vac & low voltage systems)
o Ability to read, modify, and create wiring diagrams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- MQTT experience
- Experience building PLC panels – from selection, design, wiring
- ProductivitySuite software ladder logic
- Restaurant experience
