Insight Global is looking for a Mainframe Quality Engineer to join a leading client in Plano, TX. As a Mainframe Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for test planning and
execution of maintenance and enhancement for a product named Gen. Gen is a low-code model-driven development environment for
enterprise applications. Gen enables global businesses to generate and deploy
applications in a single, integrated development environment for multiple platforms.
This role will require mainframe expertise, and grow to encompass the full range of Gen
functionality across all platforms

Required Skills & Experience
● 5+ years of experience in quality assurance for mainframe software
● BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
● Experience creating test automation (preferably Python).
● Experience with zOS systems components and sub-systems such as: TSO/ISPF, CICS, IMS, WebSphere Liberty, JCL, and DB2.
● Experience working with middleware, such as ECI, TCP/IP or IBM MQ.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
● Experience using Gen (formerly known as COOL: Gen or CA Gen).
● Experience with Clist, COBOL, REXX, SQL, GitHub, intelliJ, VS Code.
● Certified by ISTQB (Foundational).
● Experience with z/OSMF, SMP/E, USS (z/OS Unix System Services).
● Ability to configure CICS and IMS, define resources and set up the environment.
