Job Description

An employer is looking for a Lead Creative designer in the Plano, TX area. You will lead the development of marketing and brand creative, partnering with advertising team to bring business-driving initiatives to life. You will develop creative strategies, create compelling presentations, and guide projects from concept through execution. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic thinking with creative leadership and oversight of a Junior Designer.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the creative development of marketing campaigns and key brand initiatives.
• Translate business objectives into compelling creative concepts and visual solutions.
• Work with advertising team to develop creative briefs and provide clear direction to internal creative team.
• Build impactful presentations and visual storytelling frameworks to communicate ideas and recommendations to leadership.
• Present and advocate for creative concepts, campaign strategies, and design solutions to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with advertising and other cross-functional teams to drive alignment and execution.
• Guide stakeholders through the creative process, setting expectations and ensuring alignment on objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
• Manage and mentor a Junior Designer, ensuring creative deliverables align with strategic objectives and brand standards.
• Review and approve creative work, providing constructive feedback throughout the creative process.
• Partner with external agencies and vendors as needed to support project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years experience in creative design/ direction, brand design, advertising
Experience leading design teams/ initiatives at an agency
Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, integrating marketing campaign development, and visual storytelling
Experience mentoring junior designers (Art directors, graphic designers, copy writers, etc.)
Well versed in animation/ digital
Experience developing creative briefs and leading projects from strategy through execution.
Expert wiith Illustrator and Adobe suite experience
Print production and video editing skills
Retouching and production experience (Specs, formatting, etc.)
