Job Description

A fortune 100 client is looking to add a Data Steward Advisor to their team. Activities will include, but not limited to:
-Highly motivated with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
-Demonstrated proficiency in using Excel to source, analyze, normalize and process data to define requirements for ongoing processing and management of the data including quality validations.
-Strong knowledge and understanding of master data elements and processes
-Strong data management background with understanding of how to ingest data, proper data use/consumption, data quality, and stewardship
-Ability to translate business requirements into critical data dependencies and requirements
-Ability to think beyond their current state (processes, roles and tools) and work towards an unconstrained, optimized design
-Analytical mindset with Strong Communication Skills/Able to Persuade/Influence Others at all Organization Levels and the ability foster lasting partnerships

-An ability to solicit followership from the functional teams to think beyond the way the things work today
-Able to align various stakeholders to a common set of standards and the ability to sell the benefits of the EDG program

-Self-starter who welcomes responsibility, along with the ability to thrive in an evolving organization and an ability to bring structure to unstructured situations
-Ability to arbitrate on difficult decisions and drive consensus through a diplomatic approach

Required Skills & Experience

-4+ years of experience working in Data Governance or Data Management or Data Stewardship experience within a global CPG (Consumer Packaged Good) company or similar industry, general understanding of data governance concepts and processes
-Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use/consumption, data quality, and stewardship.
-Functional and/or Data Management Experience in SAP (ECC or S/4HANA required) in one or more of the areas listed: Finance and Controlling (FICO), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Sales and Distribution (SD), Vendor and Customer Management
-Ability to partner with both business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented.
-Basic SQL knowledge and experience working with Visualization BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc).
-Advanced data analytical skills, including identification, interpretation and documentation of data patterns, standards, and quality rules
-Strong communication skills and Excel proficiency, including experience profiling with Excel
-Experience researching, validating, profiling and cataloging datasets
-Ability to own sub-tasks of a project with little supervision. -Excellent written and oral communication

-Informatica (EDC, Axon, IDQ, Reference 360)
-Intermediate - Advanced Excel experience
-DataBricks basics
-SAP FICO
