Job Description

A client of Insight Global is hiring for a CTO position. This client is a global leader in digital transformation, specializing in advanced computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics. This position will report directly to the CCO/Head of BDS (Big Data and Security) for North America. Our client is looking for someone with a vast understanding of current and future cybersecurity practices and technologies. They must be able to speak on these technologies and initiatives with clients and stakeholders. This person preferably has an understanding or experience within the managed service industry, as they will be sent out to communicate with clients to identify roadmaps, contribute innovative thinking, and service improvement with stakeholders.
Other desired knowledge and skills include:
- Exhibit strategic leadership and communication skills at senior levels (typically board and senior management) and in a wide variety of contexts
- Able to understand, explain and present complex ideas to both specialist and non-specialist audiences at all levels up to the highest in a persuasive and convincing manner
- Able to coordinate multiple architectural perspectives, merging and dividing these into a coherent and pragmatic overall architecture
- Exhibit a broad and deep technical knowledge of the IT stack informed by knowledge of the business activities and strategies of the client
- Able to understand and communicate the potential impact of new developments on the existing service delivery model and user community
- Combine technical expertise and commercial awareness with the ability to influence and lead technology and innovation decisions taken and strategies developed
- Stay abreast of new developments in the market and, where appropriate, build a roadmap for their introduction into the client base
- Able to analyze and explain the risks involved in using, or not using, targeted solutions to address business or organizational issues

Required Skills & Experience

At least five to ten years of experience in similar functions within Cybersecurity with an emphasis in outsourcing
4-year degree or equivalent experience
High interest in cybersecurity market and technology trends and the ability to structure new environments
Excellent communication skills and dynamic presentation skills
Ability to communicate with stakeholders and clients
Successful leadership of development teams producing high value offerings
Strong Leadership skills
Proven track-record in product development, management and strategic improvement and change projects
Understanding of the various methodologies used in sales and go to market strategy workshops
Curious and willing to learn about the latest and greatest developments in the industry on a continues bases
Influencing and persuading others to take a specific course of action when they are not in direct line of command or control
Keeping commercial aspects continually in mind when taking actions or making decisions
