Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Piping Superintendent to join our team in West Texas to oversee installation of high energy steam, boiler feedwater piping systems while ensuring the safety of employees.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Install process piping for the function of mechanical process equipment of power plant.
· Manage project scheduling, manpower requirements, equipment needs, budget for piping, and safety.
· Provide leadership for installation of piping, providing information on progress to management.
· Evaluate areas to verify hazards have been removed from the work area.
· Maintain safe working environment by ensuring employees are following company policies and tools are kept in working order and being used properly.
· Verify inspections on tools have been performed.
· Ensure the quality of work performed is in accordance with code and quality procedures.
· Plan job set-up while coordinating with subcontractors.
· Ensure systems are complete for easy transition to commissioning team.
· Coordinate with other craft and team members to ensure conflicts for equipment or work area doesn’t interfere with production.
· Collaborate with other Superintendents on scaffolding, support locations, penetrations, and additional needs to continue installation of piping.
· Regularly attend meetings to provide updates and field questions.
· Order piping material and review upon receiving to verify any missing items.
· Coordinate training with the Safety department and schedule orientation for new employees.
· Other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

- NEED to have powerplant experience (Thermal, or gas Turbine)

- 5 years as pipe superintendent

- Advanced knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, and rigging.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, ISO’s, and P&ID’s.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Candidates with journeyman cards and/or master electricians are preferred but not required.
