Job Description

An industry leader for over 40 years in engineering, material science, and manufacturing of custom shapes, seals and components is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. Their engineering solutions support industries such as Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Industrial, Mobile Equipment, and Oil & Gas. The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer will include:



--Developing innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems

--Refine and enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and key Lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production

--Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout

--Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements

--Evaluate capital equipment investments and prepare cost justifications

-- Identify and implement solutions for issues relating to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions

--Must have ability to deal with people at a cross-functional level. Position requires ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form in order to present information and respond to inquiries from employees, customers, and suppliers.

Required Skills & Experience

1-3+ years in Manufacturing Engineering (will consider College graduate with Internship, Volunteering, or previous hands-on in manufacturing)

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology (Mechanical, Automation/Robotics, Manufacturing, Computer Science)

Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, etc.)

Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Kaizen manufacturing principles

Fundamental understanding of project management, process improvement, FMEAs, and quality systems

Strong skills in Mathematics, Data & Statistical Analysis (Minitab, Excel, etc.)

Self-starter with inquisitive mindset, not afraid to ask questions for continued learning, highly organized, and effective communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Understanding of Polymers

Exposure to chemistry
