Job Description

The Field Service Technician is responsible for submitting accurate daily reports and paperwork, diagnosing engine/compressor failures, and assisting with rebuilds, overhauls, and installations of gas compressor packages. This role includes performing mechanical inspections, responding to emergencies, and participating in a call-out rotation. The technician must comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and provide input for job planning. Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Skills & Experience

High school diploma or GED
Strong mechanical and electrical capabilities for complex service and maintenance tasks
Ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs independently
Knowledge of proper purging and loading practices and procedures
Ability to understand and use P&IDs, blueprints, installation instructions, and technical manuals
Computer competency (Word, Excel, Outlook, report writing)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CAT Gas Engine Rating Professional (GERP)
CAT ET knowledge or other equivalent OEMs
