Job Description
This role supports purchasing activities across steel, fabricated metal parts, and indirect supplies. The focus is on execution and transaction volume, ensuring materials are sourced correctly, costs are tracked, suppliers are managed, and items arrive on time. This position works closely with engineering, operations, and finance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Help identify and evaluate suppliers
Run pricing and bid comparisons
Support cost savings initiatives
Manage supplier relationships
Partner cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and finance
Handle purchasing basics:
- High volume purchase orders
- Requesting quotes
- Correcting pricing
- Invoicing support

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, finance, or a related field
3-5 years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles,
Comfortable with negotiation, quick learner, supplier management
Experience in spend analysis or cost comparison
Travel 10%
Experience with ERP Sourcing tools
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Sourcing steel products or fab components
Knowledge of steel markets, fab process, or manufacturing supply chain
Exposure to working with domestic or regional steel suppliers/service centers
APICS, CPSM, CSCP or similar certs
