This client is looking for an IT Solution Architect to join their team in Katy, Tx. This person will direct, identify, and recommend appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership. They will also work with business and technology subject matter experts to derive end-to-end solutions that provide value to the enterprise and ensure these solutions comply with standards and guidelines set forth by Enterprise Architecture, as well as model solutions from conceptual, logical and physical perspectives. Additionally, they will create artifacts that define the N+1 views of the end-to-end solution (context, data domain, logical, physical, and deployment), facilitate the requirements refinement process; with special focus on service-level requirements, collaborate with other parts of IT to ensure a thorough understanding of the architecture, and participate in design reviews to ensure traceability of the design to the proposed solution architecture. This person will report onsite to their Katy, Tx. location 5 days/week.

- 10+ years' of experience related to IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture role
- 2-3 years of experience within retail industry.
- Functional knowledge of data integration tools like Kubernetes, Kafka and Java Spring Boot.
- Experience designing solutions in Google cloud and hybrid AWS/Azure cloud environments
- Strong understanding of IT Architectural frameworks like TOGAF and Zachman
- Prior hands-on experience implementing enterprise class supply chain management systems
- Strong experience in services (SOA/Microservices)
- Strong experience with retailing COTS enterprise class applications
- Preferred skills include strong optimization skills -- stochastic modeling, optimization algorithms, holistic planning
- Prior hands-on experience with Oracle RMS.
